At the Preservation Celebration, Historic Seattle present preservation awards in the following categories
Best Rehabilitation Project Award (shared)
Furuya and Corgiat Buildings
Rob Brewster of ConoverBond and the project team
The award was presented to Rob Brewster of ConoverBond and the project team for the outstanding rehabilitation of the Furuya and Corgiat Buildings, resulting in a sensitive transformation of a key corner (NE corner of 2nd Ave S and S Main St) in the Pioneer Square Historic District.

Joshua Green Building
Joshua Green Corporation, Urban Renaissance Group, and supporting partners
The award was presented to the Joshua Green Corporation, Urban Renaissance Group, and supporting partners for creating a model preservation project that will help anchor downtown Seattle for decades to come.

Preserving Neighborhood Character Award
William Tell Building
Gibraltar, LLC and supporting partners
The award was presented to Gibraltar, LLC and its supporting partners for renovating the William Tell Building in Seattle’s Belltown, bringing an architectural gem back to life in a neighborhood that has seen tremendous change in recent decades.

Excellence in Preservation Planning Award
Downtown Historic Resources Survey and Inventory
Seattle Historic Preservation Program and supporting partners
As a component of the City’s downtown planning efforts, the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Historic Preservation Program surveyed and inventoried 376 potentially historic properties in downtown Seattle in 2007. 37 properties were identified as eligible for nomination as Seattle landmarks, 16 of which were designated Seattle landmarks by 2010. An additional 56 buildings were also identified for landmark nomination consideration by the Landmarks Preservation Board in the future. The award was presented for their on-going efforts to protect downtown’s historic resources while preparing for future change and growth.

Women's University Club
Women's University Club
The award was presented to the Women’s University Club in downtown Seattle to recognize the organization’s longstanding commitment to preserving its clubhouse building while responding to the needs of its membership.

Illuminating History Award (shared)
Paramount Theatre Sign
Recipient: Seattle Theatre Group (STG)
In 2009, the Seattle Theatre Group (STG) replaced the Paramount Theatre’s iconic blue and gold vertical sign with a new LED sign that is a replica of the historic sign and 90% more energy efficient. The award was presented to STG for its extraordinary efforts in ensuring that the sign continues to light up a key downtown corridor for decades to come.

Illuminating History Award (shared)
The 5th Avenue Theatre Sign
The 5th Avenue Theatre and supporting partners
Inspired by the theatre’s original sign, which hung at the entrance to the building at its 1926 opening, and also by the theatre’s famous Chinese-inspired interior, the new marquee and sign (installed in 2009) features energy-efficient LED illumination of approximately 2,000 lights. The award was presented to The 5th Avenue Theatre and supporting partners for enhancing downtown’s Fifth Avenue, bringing new life to the street, reaffirming downtown as a great destination, and paying homage to Seattle’s lively past.
