7th Annual Preservation Awards

Tuesday, May 12, 2015 | All Events (see all) 4649 Sunnyside Ave N
Seattle, WA 98103

On Tuesday, May 12 we host our 7th Annual Historic Preservation Awards ceremony at the landmark Good Shepherd Center to acknowledge recent successes in the field. Learn more about the 2015 award recipients on our awards page.

Join with old and new friends and colleagues who share a passion for preservation. Enjoy a social hour of hors d’oeuvres, dessert and beverages before the ceremony. John Carrington, principal harpist with Pacific Northwest Ballet, performs on a marvelous Art Deco harp and Eric Verlinde plays the grand piano in The Chapel Space. Deputy Mayor Kate Joncas offers her remarks, to be followed by our keynote speaker and master of ceremonies, Pastor Dennis Andersen.

We showcase and recognize some of the exceptional public and private projects that preserve and protect Seattle’s built heritage for future generations. Since the first year of the awards in 2009, the recipients have ranged from prominent downtown rehabilitation projects, restoration of historic rural places, preservation of neighborhood character, heritage/architecture publications, and individuals who have contributed greatly to preserving the built environment and educating us about local history.

Lead sponsor of the event is KeyBank with support from 4Culture.
