City of Seattle Landmarks Coordinator Erin Doherty discusses how the City of Seattle’s landmark designation process promotes and protects places of historic, cultural, architectural, and social importance. Seattle has eight historic districts and more than 400 buildings, structures, sites, and objects that are valuable cultural assets that help shape our communities and collective histories. Historic Seattle’s Preservation Advocacy Manager, Jeff Murdock, discusses what happens once a place is landmarked.
This is the third of four expert-led workshops designed to build your grassroots preservation advocacy toolkit. Sign up for one, two, or the whole series!
