Seattle, WA 98105

Celebrate the re-opening of the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, Washington State’s oldest public museum, in its brand new home.

Edward Lalonde, a principal at the Seattle-based architecture firm Olson Kundig, will discuss his experience as a project architect for the new Burke – a project spanning ten years. Edward will delve into the building’s design and the challenge of creating a space capable of curating the Burke’s diverse and growing collection of over 16 million artifacts, ranging from dinosaur fossils to the Tiffany stained glass windows that once adorned the historic Eliza Leary Mansion on Capitol Hill.

Come make a day of it as your ticket includes admission to the entire museum.

Cost: $25 Members / $35 General Public
