New to Seattle or a long-time resident who has just never done an underground tour?! Are you currently living in the Chinatown-International District or Pioneer Square?! Here’s a fantastic opportunity to get to know your city’s hidden history…
Thanks to Historic South Downtown and the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, a limited number of FREE Beneath the Streets Underground History Tour tickets are available to Chinatown-International District and Pioneer Square residents.
Embark on a captivating journey through the hidden history beneath Seattle’s streets. Travel back in time to the 1889 Great Seattle Fire, which gave rise to the underground. Thanks to the 1960’s historic preservation movement, witness the preserved portions of this fascinating world. The Underground History Tour will walk you through three of these underground areaways as you walk above and below the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood.
Please note that only current residents of Pioneer Square or Chinatown-International District are eligible for these tickets.
