Historic Seattle is excited to continue our yearly program series honoring our Preservation Celebration Award winners! For this series, expect an opportunity to learn more about the incredible people and places that were honored at our 2023 Preservation Celebration.

Dr. Dorothy Cordova | 2023 Preservation Champion Award

We look forward to joining you for an in-person program celebrating one of our 2023 Preservation Champion Awardees, Dr. Dorothy Cordova!

Dr. Dorothy Laigo Cordova, or “Auntie Dorothy,” as she is affectionately known, is honored for her outstanding life-long contributions to the preservation of Filipino Americans’ rich history and cultural heritage.

And to celebrate Auntie Dorothy and her tireless contributions to the historic fabric of our city, state, and nation, we will be getting a tour of the National Pinoy Archives, housed within the historic Immaculate Conception Church. The archives were founded by Filipino American National Historical Society in 1987 to collect, preserve, and make accessible to the public textual, graphic, and electronic historical records of Filipino Americans.

We have a limited capacity for this program, so be sure to register soon.
