The July 2018 news that The Showbox is in danger of demolition sparked a grassroots movement to #SaveTheShowbox. If you’re a music lover or a dedicated preservationist (or both!), you’ll want to join us for an inside perspective into the history of one of Seattle’s legendary cultural venues and the ongoing advocacy campaign to save it.
Speakers from the advocacy coalition will share their perspectives, illuminate the building’s history, and answer your questions. They’ll also give you the latest update on the landmark nomination and how you can get involved!
About Members Meetings: Four times a year, Historic Seattle invites its members and the public to learn about places of historic or architectural interest in our community. These free events include social time and a short quarterly business meeting before diving into the history of the meeting space. Come learn with us!
Cost: Free! Advanced registration appreciated.
