Discover the foundations of Prairie School architecture and learn about its introduction to the Pacific Northwest in the early 20th century. Minneapolis-based architectural historian Richard Kronick will describe the Prairie School style and discuss the contributions of Purcell and Elmslie (P&E) — the second largest Prairie School firm after Frank Lloyd Wright’s — connecting P&E to our local architectural story.
This lecture precedes a related house tour on Queen Anne.
