Sunday, August 27, 2017 | All Events (see all) 153 14th Ave
Seattle, WA 98122

Preserve your home’s architectural history…add a new skill to your toolkit…diversify your preservation resume!

Do you have an older house? Are you looking to learn about repairing and maintaining your windows? Do you want to build up your resume with preservation skills?

This is a class for homeowners, DIY enthusiasts, preservationists, handy people, and anyone looking to learn a new skill. And veterans! We have a passion for working with veterans and our partner Bear Wood Windows is a veteran owned company.

Bear Wood Windows and Historic Seattle have teamed up to teach day-long courses that will leave you with a hands-on comprehensive knowledge of standard wood framed windows. You’ll learn how to perform repairs within small teams guided by our skilled instructor. Each team will repair or rebuild an actual original window at historic Washington Hall.

Tuition: $50 per person, which includes coffee, snacks, lunch, and a small toolkit for you to use in the course and keep! Veterans, please note tuition assistance is available, contact Candice Corey at King County Veterans’ Program at (206) 477-6989 to find out more.

Date Options: Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm
August 6 or August 27

Register here; classes are limited to 20 students per day.

Historic Seattle will send a reminder via email a few days before your class with all the details for your participation.
