At the Preservation Celebration, Historic Seattle present preservation awards in the following categories
Best Rehabilitation Project Award (shared)
Fire Stations 2, 17 and 41
City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services and project teams
The award was presented to the City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services and the project teams for Fire Stations 2, 17 and 41 for their outstanding achievements in historic preservation. The renovation of these three historic fire stations (all designated Seattle Landmarks) demonstrates commitment to preserving utility.

Lake Wilderness Lodge
City of Maple Valley and supporting partners
The award was presented to the City of Maple Valley and its supporting partners for the exemplary approach to renovating a significant Modern building by providing needed upgrades while respecting the integrity of the original design.

University Heights Center Window Restoration
University Heights Center
The award was presented to the University Heights Center in the University District for a window restoration project that serves as an excellent model for the treatment of historic properties.

Ron Murphy
The 2011 Living Landmark award was presented to Ron Murphy for his outstanding achievements in the field of historic preservation that have helped shape Seattle’s and Washington state’s built environment, preserving our architectural heritage for the future.

Community Advocacy Award
Friends of Naval Air Station Seattle Historic District
The award was presented to the Friends of Naval Air Station Seattle Historic District (Sand Point) for their efforts in preserving and honoring a significant part of Seattle’s aviation and naval history.

Preserving Neighborhood Character Award
Melrose Market
Melrose Project, LLC and supporting partners
The award was presented to Melrose Project, LLC and supporting partners for preserving and transforming two humble buildings in the Pike/Pine area into the Melrose Market, a thriving mix of retail, restaurants, and urban market where people can eat, drink, and shop locally.

Hat 'n' Boots
Georgetown Community, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and supporting partners
The award was presented to the Georgetown Community, Seattle Parks and Recreation and supporting partners for a successful collaboration in preserving Georgetown’s heritage and Seattle’s only remaining icon of roadside architecture.
