Come celebrate the historic orchards at the Good Shepherd Center (GSC), where apples have been grown for the past 108 years! Thanks to local community preservation efforts, Historic Seattle’s stewardship and support from City Fruit, this 11-acre site in Wallingford remains one of refuge and sustenance.
Stop by anytime between 11 am and 6 pm to join Historic Seattle for our 3rd annual apple tasting. We’ll have side-by-side tastings of our heirloom apples, along with homemade baked apple items and sauce. There will be information about the different varieties, our innovative organic pest prevention methods, and history of the GSC site.
Tasting tables will be set up on the lawn at the south end of the main building
