2013 General Election Candidates Survey on Historic Preservation
Since 1999, Historic Seattle has conducted candidates surveys for the primary and general elections in major election years. The 2013 General Election is November 5. Historic Seattle is conducting a candidates survey of those running for Mayor and City Council in the City of Seattle. We are posting responses as we receive them and will continue to do so through November 1, 2013.
Here’s what we asked the candidates:
As Seattle’s neighborhoods grow and change, what do you see as the role of historic preservation in sustainable development? What environmental, economic and social benefits does preservation present in a city that strives to be the greenest city?
View our website’s Preservation and Elections page to see what the candidates for the General Election have to say about historic preservation. You may also be interested in reading responses for the Primary Election (August 6).
