Sound research provides the foundation for preservation advocacy efforts. Preparing well-researched and well-written landmark nomination reports is key to successfully landmarking a historic resource. You’ll learn the nuts and bolts of preparing a landmark nomination and how researching historic properties is a multi-layered journey. Tom Heuser, historian and preservation consultant, and Eugenia Woo and Jeff Murdock of Historic Seattle, discuss the ins and outs of historical research and the many locations where you can find information, such as local archives/libraries and through online resources.
