Historic Seattle is excited to continue our annual program series honoring our Preservation Celebration Award winners! This series offers an opportunity to learn more about the incredible people and places recognized at our 2024 Preservation Celebration.
Steve Stroming | 2024 Council Award
We look forward to hosting an in-person program celebrating our 2024 Council Award recipient, Steve Stroming!
Steve, who served as a Project Manager and Director of Preconstruction Services at Rafn, has made a lasting impact on countless historic structures throughout the Seattle area. His contributions to Historic Seattle are especially noteworthy, as he contributed to the rehabilitation of Washington Hall in 2016 and the Cadillac Hotel in 2001 following the Nisqually earthquake.
To honor Steve and his many contributions to our city’s historic fabric, we are thrilled to offer exclusive access to the Cadillac Hotel’s stunning light court. While there, Steve will share his intimate and extensive knowledge of the building. Attendees will enjoy a rare glimpse of this beautiful space, along with some captivating stories.
Also attending and sharing some stories will be Scott Jones, Superintendent (retired) from Rafn who managed the Cadillac Hotel renovation.
And if that weren’t enough, we’ll wrap up the evening by heading down the street to Bad Bishop, a fantastic bar located in another Historic Seattle property: the Good Arts Building. The first drink is on us!
Event Logistics
The program will run from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 6. The Cadillac Hotel component will last approximately 60 minutes, at which point we’ll head down to Bad Bishop. All registered attendees will receive a reminder email within 72 hours of the program.
