Good Shepherd Center Garden History Tour

Wednesday, June 10, 2020 | All Events (see all)

About this Program:

“Besides being a greatly appreciated green space and a cool building, this historic site has a story to tell…indeed it has many stories to tell.” On this virtual visit with Historic Seattle’s Lead Gardener Tara Macdonald, learn more about the history of the Good Shepherd Center and its grounds.

About the Speaker:

Tara Macdonald is the Lead Gardener at the historic Good Shepherd Center. She has a BA in political science, has been gardening professionally for 18 years, and has worked with plants and forests since 1995. Her love for plants, public lands, and history has made her nearly 7 years with Historic Seattle seem like a custom fit.

Before joining Historic Seattle, she ran her own landscape gardening business in Missoula, MT. She moved to Seattle to take advantage of the incredible diversity of plants that can grow in the region and the always impressive gardening community.
